The project

DUJA sells abayas, niqabs and blazers to women across the Gulf. Many orders are cut to size, so the store has to take measurements as carefully as it takes payment, and the owner has to run all of it without a developer.

What I built

  • The DUJA logo, in Arabic and Latin, and the look of the store
  • Collections for plain abayas, niqabs, occasions, blazers, office wear and Eid
  • A tailoring form on every product: a ready-made size or the customer’s own measurements, plus the abaya and shayla choices
  • Prices in riyals, with a switcher for the other Gulf currencies
  • Customer accounts activated by email, and a cart with coupons
  • A checkout built for Telr card payments and Tabby and Tamara instalments
  • An admin dashboard for products, collections, orders, customers, messages, tailoring options, pages and settings, with printable orders
  • Unpaid orders cancelled automatically, and a daily database backup

Built with

Next.js renders the store as static pages served by Cloudflare. Supabase holds the products, orders, accounts and images, and runs the order and payment logic on the server, so every price is checked there. GitHub Actions builds and deploys each change.
